Our story
Clear glass, honest work, local roots
Sign of the Squeegee is a window cleaning service based in Redwood, Christchurch — the kind of local trade where the work speaks through the glass.
Who we are
Based in Redwood, working across Christchurch
Sign of the Squeegee Window Cleaning is listed on Google Maps from Redwood Springs, in the suburb of Redwood at the northern edge of Christchurch. It is a straightforward local service: windows cleaned properly, on weekdays, for the homes and workplaces of the city.
There is no flashy head office and no franchise playbook — just the steady routine of wash, squeegee, detail and daylight-check, applied to everything from lounge ranch-sliders to full office frontages.
What matters here
The way we like to work
Straightforward and honest
Plain talk about what each clean covers — glass, frames and sills — and hours you can set your watch by. What you see on this site is what is on the Maps listing: no invented extras.
Pride in the finish
Every pane gets checked in daylight before the job is called done. Streaks, drips and missed corners are fixed on the spot, not left for you to find.
Local through and through
Redwood based and Christchurch focused. The same streets, the same nor'westers, the same pollen seasons — the glass here is glass we know.
Reliable weekdays
Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 8:30 pm, closed on weekends. A simple rhythm that homes, offices and property managers can plan around.
The routine
How each clean unfolds
Look the glass over
A walk-around first: which panes face the weather, where the cobwebs gather, and anything delicate that needs a gentle hand.
Frames and sills first
Dust, dead insects and built-up grime come off the frames and sills so they cannot wash back onto clean glass.
Scrub and squeegee
The glass is scrubbed with solution, then pulled clean in overlapping squeegee passes — the technique the business is named for.
Daylight check
Edges are detailed and each pane is sighted against the light. If it is not streak-free, it gets done again.
Where we work
Homes and workplaces across the city
From Redwood out across Christchurch — family homes with floor-to-ceiling sliders, rentals needing a spruce-up, shopfronts and offices that live or die on first impressions.
